Versitile and Rugged

I must say I was overdue for a portable toolbox. I've been carrying my tools in 5-gallon buckets to avoid going back and forth to my shed, but those days are behind me. This Pro Gear product line from Rigid is very versatile and rugged not to mention light weight and portable. Drawers slide in and out without difficulty and are easily removable. Storage capacity is ample for portable corded or cordless hand tools. Included are 4 dividers to isolate the smaller items that tend to move around and hide under larger items. I was able to organize many of my tools and will be purchasing additional compartments to fit my various other items.

Huge fan of this box!

This is a great box for storing tools. It comes with dividers, is heavy duty and the locks on the drawers are really snug. Snug in a way that you know the drawers won't open, but not to hard to open yourself. The drawer slides are easy nice too, smooth operation to slide in and out. The handles on the top are nice as well, although Im not sure if they would hurt if you had some weight in the box, as they are kind of skinny. Since this would probably be stationary I don't mind.

Amazing Tool Box!!

The Ridgid 2.0 Pro Gear System is an amazing storage unit! I find that it is large enough to fit any of my tools, yet small enough to fit on the side and not get in the way. It is made very well, which just a few days of using it, I can feel how strong and durable it is. It comes with dividers that allows for more organization if needed. It's also stackable with other Ridgid tool boxes.

Fits the old system.

This is a perfect addition to my old system. I was sure it would be able to work with the old system but it did. I was planning on it being the lowest one but with the old system I couldn’t figure out how to switch them. But being in the second position does make it easier to access the drawers. The only thing I wish it had would be a handle to lift it off of the rack. It has plenty of room and the lid has an indentation that will be perfect for loose items. Really like the drawers will have to organize it with my most used tools. I really like it. Just add a handle to the top and it would be a five.

Great way to organize!

I got this to two drawer box to add to my Ridgid 2.0 mobile rig. I put the two drawer box on the bottom of the cart in place of the XL tool box and that way I don’t have to shuffle boxes to get to the contents. Aside from providing easier access to tools, this drawer box helps keep things organized. I appreciate the 4 dividers, which are included. The downside to this box is that it’s as large as the XL toolbox, but doesn’t provide nearly the same storage capacity. I like that the drawers fully extend, stay shut when anchored with the side straps, and most importantly that the box can be padlocked. Keep in mind this box isn’t IP65 rated like the rest of the tool boxes so there’s no protection from dust and water. In general, I really like the Ridgid 2.0 boxes and have different setups for different jobs. I previously purchased the three drawer version of this box, but actually prefer the two drawer configuration (the small drawers of the three drawer box are limited to organizing fasteners and small hand tools). If I could do it again, I’d have gotten another two drawer box. I also wish the drawer boxes came with the wall mounting brackets so I could easily store them when they’re not on the cart. Love my Ridgid boxes!

Good size for storing random parts and tools

This box is sturdy and would make a good base for the Pro Gear system. The drawers are large and come with 4 dividers to make 3 long storage compartments in each drawer. There looks like there is space for a sideways divider, but I haven't seen one listed. Each section is 11.5 inches long, but the left and right space have another 1/2 inch of space in the corners due to the way the front of the box is shaped. So you may be able to squeeze a longer wrench or screwdriver in that space. From the top of the divider to the ceiling of each compartment is 1/2 inch gap, so don't fill it with loose objects smaller than that if you are going to tip the box or they will shift. The front of each drawer is tighter to the top so there is no worry about the items falling out. The drawers glide nicely and the box seems like it will take a lot of abuse. You should put the heaviest box at the bottom of the stack, but if this is the heaviest then you won't need to remove what is above it to access the drawers.
