Homemade Coleslaw Recipe

Coleslaw is a salad dish that typically consists of shredded raw cabbage and carrots mixed with a creamy dressing, often made with mayonnaise. It is a popular side dish in many countries, especially in the US, where it is often served at barbecue and deli restaurants. Some variations of coleslaw include the addition of other ingredients such as grated apples, raisins, nuts, or red onions, but we kept it simple here and made a classic coleslaw that is very similar to KFC coleslaw.

To make coleslaw as good as KFC, we recreated their creamy and tangy dressing, which is the key to the dish’s flavor.

Our KFC’s coleslaw dupe is a delicious dish due to a combination of factors. The dressing, which is creamy and tangy, helps balance the crunch of the cabbage and carrots and adds a lot of flavor to the dish.

The coleslaw also has a pleasing texture with a balance of crunchy and creamy elements. Additionally, the flavor of KFC’s coleslaw is unique, slightly sweet, tangy, and slightly salty, which appeals to many palates.

Coleslaw is also a versatile dish that can be served as a side or used as a topping for pulled pork sandwiches and burgers, making it a popular option for many occasions.

When made fresh, coleslaw has a crisp, crunchy texture that is particularly appealing during the summer months when fresh produce is abundant. All of these factors combine to make our homemade coleslaw recipe both popular AND delicious!
